Adding a new exercise

You don't need to worry about the notation image widths, titles, alignments or directory paths & urls, they are all automated.

  1. Prepare a notation image and preferably an MP3 sound example file for your exercise. The sound example can be added afterwards if you don't have one.
  2. You'll see a "create new exercise" box at the bottom of the exercises (and this) page. Type the name of the new exercise there, press enter and an edit box will be opened with instructions.
  3. Follow the instructions, and a new page (exercise) is created.
  4. After that, upload the necessary files (notation and a sound example) to the page you just created.

After this, your exercise will be included in the correct section. The advantage of this approach is that you don't need to edit any existing pages and therefore it's impossible to do any damage. If something goes wrong, the new page can be easily deleted and you can try again.

Please do not copy exercises from any publications to avoid copyright issues. If you have any problems, please feel free to contact me.
